Fears and Worries

Eventually all children experience some kind of worry or fear. It could be a fear of the water, monsters in the closet, or thunderstorms. It's important to validate your child's feelings by listening and understanding. Some resources that may be helpful are listed under fears and worries. Most fears subside with time and with the reassurance of safety. If you think your child is suffering from extreme anxiety, talk with your pediatrician.
